Storyline

You can't say you don't know what your gonna get with a Tony Scott movie about a runaway freight train and the attempts by two men—played by Denzel Washington and Chris Pine – to stop it: flashy directing, non-stop action and big explosions. Yet Unstoppable deserves more credit than that synopsis might imply. This is the kind of action movie that Scott was directing back in the '90s before he redefined 'going overboard' with the Transformers series. Back then Scott was relatively restrained and there was a level of intelligence in his filmmaking that his more recent work has lacked (although it's still evident Scott Free productions such as The Good Wife).
Although not quite as good as Crimson Tide, Enemy of the State and Spy Game, Unstoppable at least harks back to those days. The almost always watchable Denzel Washington is a reliable leading man »
